Delete this file before launch or replace city, state, zipCodes, lat / lng, landmarks, and the body copy with real local content. scripts/preflight.mjs and the comparison-vs-doorway-page guard in CLAUDE.md both depend on every location page being genuinely local — generic template copies of the same paragraphs with the city name swapped are exactly what Google de-indexes.

What a real entry looks like

A useful location page leads with concrete, verifiable local detail — landmarks a resident would recognize, industries that actually cluster in the area, and at least one real client engagement or area-specific service note. The pattern lives in src/content.config.ts under the locations collection schema; promote this file out of _lodestar-examples/ by editing the frontmatter and body, then drop the demo banner above.

Two-minute checklist before publishing

• City, state, county, ZIP codes are accurate.
• lat / lng match the city centroid (use Google Maps → right-click → “What’s here?”).
• minutesFromBase reflects actual drive time from your operations base.
• landmarks lists 3–6 real, specific places — not “downtown” or “the main square”.
• industries matches what actually operates there.
• Body copy is unique — not a template repaint of another city.
• neighboringCities[] only references slugs of cities that exist (broken links 404 in the layout, no silent filtering).
